Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Arlington, TX, working within an elementary school setting for the upcoming school year contract. This position involves covering two maternity leaves, providing valuable support to young students from PreK through 5th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students at two campuses:
- Independence Elementary (53 students, PreK-3rd grade), coverage ASAP until January
- Old Settlers Elementary (40 students) and Southridge Elementary (8 students), K-5th grade, from January through early April
- Conduct sessions on-site with two half days required at an additional campus
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed documentation and communicate progress with parents and school team
Qualifications:
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Preferred certification: SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- If a Clinical Fellow (CF), must have supervision arranged independently prior to starting; the district cannot provide supervision
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Ability to travel between school locations within the district as required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
